If elected, Henry Pike MP and a Dutton Coalition Government will commit $7 million to a state-of-the-art facility for the Point Lookout Surf Lifesaving Club.
The volunteer lifesavers at Point Lookout have patrolled Straddie’s beaches for 75 years, keeping locals and visitors safe. A new clubhouse will provide the infrastructure they need to continue to keep up with growing demand as tourist numbers on the island increase.
This $7 million investment will improve training capabilities, ensure the safety of volunteer lifesavers, and feature the modern resources needed to keep everyone safe in the water.
